“Advanced Promotion Suite” brings proven retail campaigns to online shops

Schöppingen, Germany 17th February 2016 –Shopware released a new marketing function for the users of its online shop software. “Advanced Promotion Suite”, the name of the Premium Plugin, is a combination of different, versatile marketing functions. These open new possibilities for merchants to plan and create extensive campaigns within their online shop.

“With Advanced Promotion Suite, shop owners can implement and combine diverse promotion campaigns with one another; campaigns which have proven themselves effective in sales situations for decades,” says Shopware CEO Sebastian Hamann.

One very comprehensive function allows the application of so-called “2+1” campaigns. All possible combinations within this framework are conceivable, such as “Buy 3 pay 2”, “Buy 5 pay 4” and so on. The discounted product does not necessarily have to be for free, rather can be issued with a percentage or absolute discount. For instance: “Buy 3 get the third half-price”.

An additional function of the plugin is the discount feature. With this, discounted prices can be attached to items throughout the store, animating the customer to make a purchase with reduced prices on marked products. The shop owner creates a set of rules in advance that determines when and which products receive a discount. Again these can be offered as either percentage or absolute discounts. Defining these global rules and settings is one of the central points within this function. Furthermore, shop operators can assign a free product with a purchase. This means when a customer purchases a specific product, they automatically receive the assigned complimentary product for free.

The discounted or free products from all functions are displayed in the customer’s shopping cart before they confirm the final purchase.

Always in complete control

When planning a campaign, the shop owner always maintains complete control. Directly within the Shopware administration area, the shop owner can define, label and manage each of their campaigns using one clear and simple overview. There they choose the products, create the rules and much more. So the shop owner can configure and administer any number of discounts in various combinations from one central point. It is also possible to connect various promotions with coupon codes.

From a legal perspective, the plugin can be used without any hesitation. Especially in regard to the discounts from online shops, a pitfall may arise. Advanced Promotion Suite was extensively tested and certified by Trusted Shops, Europe’s leading seal of approval for online shops.

The new Premium Plugin can be combined perfectly with a powerful feature that came with the release of Shopware 5.1: Product Streams. Based on predefined filter settings such as color, manufacturer or price, the streams are created automatically and update whenever a new product is added that meets the respective filter criteria. These predefined streams are displayed in crucial places within the online shop.

Sebastian Hamann emphasizes the advantages of the new Premium Plugin: “Shop owners benefit from Advanced Promotion Suite in many ways. Above all, it brings competitive advantages, as it has a positive effect on sales and conversion. In addition, the merchants can stand out from the competition with yet another clever marketing function.”

Advanced Promotion Suite was developed in collaboration with Gaastra, a worldwide fashion brand with roots in the Netherlands. They have successfully run promotion campaigns using the plugin since launching their shop at the end of 2015, using Shopware 5 as the basis. Nico Heer, Managing Director at ESail GmbH, said of the plugin: “We are very pleased with the new promotion plugin. With the help of this tool, we can easily represent our current promotions within our online shop.”
