What is the Copilot?
In its first release, Copilot is a chat-based assistant powered by deep Shopware knowledge. It helps you get instant answers to questions about features, setup, and best practices—right when you need them. Whether you're configuring your store, developing plugins, or exploring new capabilities, Copilot offers guidance and support to help you move forward with confidence.
What is Agentic Commerce?
Agentic Commerce refers to online shopping tasks carried out by autonomous AI agents on behalf of users—from product discovery to checkout. At Shopware, we also use this term to describe the use of AI agents within shop administration, where they support merchants by automating routine tasks and streamlining workflows.
What is Shopware's vision for the Copilot?
We envision Copilot as an agentic AI service that actively supports merchants in managing their online stores. Copilot will analyze store data and detect anomalies, provide actionable recommendations, and perform tasks directly within the Shopware environment on the merchant’s behalf. Our long-term vision is for Copilot to become the central command layer for automating and orchestrating a wide range of tasks across the Shopware administration.
When will the Copilot be available?
The first release of Copilot is planned for July 2025 and will launch with Shopware version 6.7.1.
Who can use the Copilot?
Copilot will be available to Shopware users on version 6.7.1 or higher with a Rise, Evolve, or Beyond plan.
Which technology is Shopware AI using?
The infrastructure of Copilot is fully hosted in Europe, ensuring data sovereignty and compliance with European data protection regulations. Other Shopware AI features are powered by carefully selected AI models integrated via secure APIs, enabling intelligent assistance while maintaining strict privacy and security standards.
Is user data accessed or processed by Shopware AI?
Shopware’s AI providers have no access to the merchant’s online store, and any data entered will not be used to train their AI models. Copilot only requests read-only access to a limited set of shop data (such as plugin states, system version, or license information) to personalize its responses. Additionally, Shopware may collect user inquiries to continuously improve both Copilot and the overall Shopware product experience, always in line with data protection standards.
